CUBI / PRIVACY
CUBI
Game Apps Privacy Policy
For all Cubi mobile games and apps that link to this policy
|
Effective date 24 September 2026
This policy explains how Cubi handles information when you use any Cubi mobile game or app that links to this policy (together, the “Games”). It also explains the choices and rights available to you.
This policy is designed for Cubi’s general-audience Games that use some or all of the services described below. It applies automatically to each Cubi Game that links to this policy, so individual Game names do not need to be listed here. Some Games may use optional services described in this policy, such as Google Analytics for Firebase, while others may not. If a Game introduces a materially different feature or data practice—such as an account system, chat, cloud profile, precise location, or a provider or data use not reasonably covered here—Cubi will update this policy or provide an additional notice before that feature is used.
Cubi account |
The Games covered by this policy do not require a Cubi account unless the Game clearly tells you otherwise. |
Progress |
Game progress and settings are generally saved on your device unless the Game clearly tells you otherwise. |
Advertising |
Google AdMob may process device, advertising, consent, interaction, performance, and approximate-location information to provide and measure ads. Some Games may also use Google Analytics for Firebase to measure app usage and improve the Game. |
Platform services |
Apple or Google may process gaming-service, app-store purchase, device-permission, and attribution information under their own terms and privacy policies. |
Your choices |
You can manage consent and advertising choices in the Game where available, plus relevant privacy and advertising controls in iOS, Android, Apple, and Google settings. |
Contact |
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to info@cubi.co.uk. |
Cubi is a trading name of Cubicus Ltd (“Cubi”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Cubicus Ltd is the organisation responsible for the personal information it decides how and why to use in connection with the Games. For questions, privacy requests, or concerns, email info@cubi.co.uk.
Some services within the Games are supplied by Google, Apple, or other platform providers. Those companies may act as separate organisations responsible for their own processing. Their policies are linked in section 14.
A Game may save progress, completed levels, scores, achievements, settings, sound preferences, purchase-entitlement status, and an unfinished game on your device. Unless a Game tells you otherwise, Cubi does not send this gameplay record to a Cubi-operated account or cloud database. Certain records may be held in secure device storage, and app-store purchase entitlements may be restorable through the relevant platform provider.
Games that show ads use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google’s consent tools. Depending on your device, region, consent choices, and ad settings, Google and its advertising partners may process:
internet protocol (IP) address, which may be used to estimate general location;
device or app identifiers, including Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA) where it is available and its use is permitted, Android advertising identifiers where applicable, and other app- or developer-bounded identifiers;
ads shown and interactions with ads, such as impressions, taps, and video views;
app interactions relevant to ad delivery and measurement; and
diagnostic and performance information, including crash logs and app-launch or responsiveness information.
The Game also records your consent and privacy choices so that those choices can be applied. The specific advertising partners involved can vary and, where required, are disclosed in the consent message shown in the Game.
If a Game uses a platform gaming service such as Apple Game Center or Google Play Games Services, the relevant platform provider authenticates your account and may handle profile information, leaderboards, achievements, saved-game features, or related data. A Game may submit scores or achievements to that service. Cubi does not receive your Apple Account or Google Account password.
If you buy or restore an in-app purchase, the relevant app-store provider—such as Apple for the App Store or Google for Google Play—processes the payment and provides the Game with transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock or restore the purchase. Cubi does not receive your full payment-card details.
If you choose a sharing feature, your device may present a system share sheet or equivalent sharing interface and sends the content only to the service you select. That service handles the information under its own privacy terms. If you email Cubi for support or a privacy request, Cubi receives your email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to include.
Information is used, as applicable, to:
provide the Game and preserve progress and settings on your device;
authenticate or use platform gaming services and submit scores or achievements you earn;
process, verify, restore, and maintain in-app purchase entitlements;
request and remember privacy choices and comply with advertising and privacy rules;
deliver, limit, personalise where permitted, measure, and protect advertising;
understand how a Game is used,
measure engagement and feature performance, and improve gameplay and
reliability where analytics are enabled;
detect faults, abuse,
invalid traffic, and security problems; and
respond to support messages, privacy requests, or legal obligations.
Where UK or European data-protection law applies, the legal basis depends on the activity:
Contract: to provide a feature you request, including gameplay, platform gaming services, and purchase entitlements.
Consent: for personalised advertising, access to advertising identifiers such as the IDFA where consent is required, analytics or storage/access technologies where consent is required, and other processing that relies on consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Legitimate interests: to operate and secure the Games, prevent fraud and invalid ad traffic, understand service reliability and, where permitted, how Games are used so Cubi can improve them, and answer routine support requests, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Legal obligation: where processing is needed to comply with law, regulation, court orders, or valid requests from authorities.
Google and Apple determine their own legal bases for processing they carry out as separate organisations. Their notices provide more detail.
Where required, the Game uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to show a regional consent or privacy message before requesting ads. Your options may include personalised ads, non-personalised ads, limited ads, or managing advertising vendors, depending on the law and Google’s available controls. Some ads may still be served after you decline personalised advertising, but they should use a more limited set of signals.
On iOS, the Game may ask whether you allow tracking across other companies’ apps and websites through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework. If you decline, the Game cannot access the IDFA for that purpose. You can change this choice in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking. Declining tracking does not remove ads, but may make them less relevant and may reduce the information available for ad measurement.
The Games may use privacy-preserving or platform-provided attribution technologies, such as Apple’s SKAdNetwork or comparable Google/Android attribution mechanisms, so advertising partners can measure app-install campaign results. Cubi does not use these mechanisms to obtain information that directly identifies you.
Where a Game provides a Privacy Choices control, use it to reopen the applicable Google privacy message. On iOS, you can also manage tracking permission in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking and certain Apple advertising preferences in your device settings. On Android, you can manage available advertising and privacy controls through your Google and Android device settings. Resetting, deleting, or limiting an identifier does not necessarily delete information already held by an advertising provider; use the provider’s privacy controls for that purpose.
Information may be disclosed to:
Google and the advertising
technology providers identified in the applicable consent message,
for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, consent management,
and related services;
Google, where a Game uses Google
Analytics for Firebase, for app analytics, usage measurement,
diagnostics, and related services;
Apple or Google, as applicable, for app-store purchases, platform gaming services, device permissions, crash or platform services, and attribution;
professional advisers, service providers, or business successors where reasonably necessary and subject to appropriate protections; and
courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other authorities where disclosure is required or legally permitted.
Cubi does not exchange your direct contact information for money. Some US privacy laws use broader definitions of “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” that may cover disclosures used for interest-based advertising. Where applicable, use the privacy message or Privacy Choices control to opt out.
Google, Apple, Firebase service providers, and their respective service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, Cubi relies on providers that use recognised transfer mechanisms, such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual safeguards. Review the providers’ privacy notices for details of their global processing and safeguards.
Cubi keeps information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, security, accounting, dispute, and enforcement needs. The practical retention period depends on the type of information and who controls it:
Device data: progress and settings generally remain until you reset the Game, remove the relevant data, or delete the Game. Secure device storage and restored backups can sometimes preserve limited records.
Purchases and platform gaming services: Apple, Google, or another relevant platform provider may retain transaction, entitlement, leaderboard, achievement, saved-game, and account information under its own retention rules. Deleting the Game does not necessarily delete records held by that provider.
Advertising, analytics, and consent: Google and participating advertising or analytics providers retain information according to their policies, legal obligations, product settings, and your consent choices. Firebase Analytics data may be subject to retention settings configured by Cubi and to Google’s applicable retention rules.
Support and privacy correspondence: Cubi retains messages only while reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain necessary records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
To remove local progress, use any reset function provided by the Game or delete the Game from the device. For information controlled by Google, Apple, or another platform provider, use that provider’s privacy tools or contact it directly. You may contact Cubi regarding information in Cubi’s control.
Depending on where you live and the circumstances, you may have rights to access, receive a copy of, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a data-protection authority. Where processing is based on consent, withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
To exercise a right in relation to information controlled by Cubi, email info@cubi.co.uk. Cubi may need enough information to verify the request and identify the relevant records. In the UK, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. In the EEA, you may complain to your local supervisory authority.
Residents of certain US states may, subject to legal conditions and exceptions, have rights to know or access personal information, request correction or deletion, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. Cubi will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Where an advertising opt-out is available, use the Game’s privacy message or Privacy Choices control; for other requests, email Cubi. An authorised agent may submit a request where local law permits, but Cubi may require proof of authority and identity verification.
The general-audience Cubi Games covered by this policy are not directed to children under 13. Cubi does not knowingly invite children under 13 to submit contact information through the Games. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to Cubi, email info@cubi.co.uk so the matter can be investigated and appropriate action taken. A Cubi Game specifically designed for children will use age-appropriate settings and an additional or separate privacy notice where required.
Cubi uses reasonable organisational and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information handled. No app, network, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your device software updated and protect access to your device and platform accounts.
Cubi may update this policy when a Game, provider, law, or privacy practice changes. The updated version will show a new effective date. Where a change is material and the law requires notice or renewed consent, Cubi will provide that notice through the Game, an app-store listing, a website, or another appropriate channel.
This policy applies to every Cubi Game that links to it. A particular Game may use only some of the features and services described below. The presence of a feature or service in this policy—including Firebase Analytics—does not mean every Game uses it. If a Game introduces a materially different data practice or provider not reasonably covered here, Cubi will update this policy or provide an additional notice.
Feature |
How it may work in a Cubi Game |
Game progress |
Progress, settings, saved games, and similar gameplay records may be stored locally on the device. Unless a Game tells you otherwise, Cubi does not use a Cubi cloud account for this data. |
Advertising |
A Game that displays ads may use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Google’s consent tools may control whether ads can be requested and which advertising mode applies. |
Tracking permission |
On iOS, a Game may request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission. The IDFA is unavailable for tracking if permission is denied. Android advertising identifiers and controls may apply on Android devices. |
Attribution |
A Game may include Apple, Google, or advertising-provider mechanisms used for privacy-preserving or platform-approved ad attribution. |
Leaderboards and achievements |
A Game may use Apple Game Center, Google Play Games Services, or another platform gaming service for leaderboards, achievements, authentication, or related features. |
Purchases |
A Game may use Apple StoreKit/App Store billing or Google Play Billing to process in-app purchases and restore entitlements. |
Sharing |
Sharing occurs only when you choose a sharing feature and select a destination through the sharing options available on your device. |
Analytics |
Some Games may use Google Analytics for Firebase to measure app usage, engagement, events, performance, and related information so Cubi can understand and improve the Game. Other Cubi Games may not use Firebase Analytics. |
